I haven't read of Superior Iron Man as well, since I wasn't that much into it during that time. But according to some searches I've done, this was the aftermath of the AXIS event where in his final clash with Scarlet Witch and Dr. Strange resulted in an inversion wave that altered his personality. The inversion causes him to return to his arrogant and egotistic personality with an emphasis on profit over safety of others.

Finally the comic packs are back! I can't remember the last time they put one of these out! It's still patterned after the single pack Marvel Legends Series. Though I don't dig the name, I'm certainly digging the package design. It looks premium and made for adults. At the back you can see the rest of the comic packs, with a large artistic shot. With the return of these comic packs, I do hope we get the team boxsets as well down the road.
Mechanical Masters pack comes with the Secret Wars comic with the inclusion of Superior Iron Man #1
Sculpt:
- Some parts are left unsculpted, and was just painted on

It isn't surprising that we get another Iron Man armor in this scale. We probably have enough Iron Man already to fill up a wall. It's definitely a great addition if you have a Hall of Armor collection going. But for the casual collectors, you wont really miss anything if you don't pick this up. It's just like the Extremis one, so you probably know what to expect when you buy this.
