TOY REVIEW: Spider-Man (from Spider-man & Shocker pack)

One of the most sought after Spider-Man figure to date.
Is this the definitive Spidey we've been longing for?

First Impression:

We have gotten tons and tons of Spider-Man figure from the MU line, and people still can't decide which figure to get as their default one. There have been some great Spidey figures and some just downright fugly! I was excited when this figure was announced, since we all know this is the superior body mold of MU fully loaded with articulation. I even attempted to make my own Spidey here. Knowing that fact, it automatically has the potential to be the definitive Spidey for our collection.

Where did I acquire it?: Kramer Toy Warden
How much?: SRP of Php 1,499.75

Accessories:

Sculpt:

+ Not sure what version of Spidey did the head come from but loving the size of the sculpted eyes on this.
THWIP hands!!!
+/- The body built may be a good thing or a bad thing depending on the collector's preference of Spidey. Some may opt for a slender looking Spidey and may find this a bit too muscular and tall. But personally, this body works for me.

Paint:

+ Liking the dark blue and red tone that they used.
Decent painted lines.
- Saw some figures with bad paint apps though. Some are misaligned and have some chipping.

Articulation:
This figure uses the Jim Lee Cyke / 2-pack Daredevil Marvel Universe mold, meaning you get the cream of the crop of MU articulation. It's fully loaded and you get to do tons of poses with this figure.

Comparison:
SHS Spider-Man, MLS 2-pack Spider-Man, MU Spider-Man

MLS MCU 2-pack Spider-Man, MLS 2-pack Spider-Man

MLS 2-pack Shocker, MLS 2-pack Spider-Man

Overall Grade

This Spider-Man figure is so much fun to have and play around with. It uses the best mold for MU, thus you can have him pose in a variety of way. It's probably a bit tall and muscular to be Spidey, but I wouldn't complain too much about it. Personally, the figure works for me and I love it. This, for now, will be my default comic Spider-Man. If you get the chance to own him, go grab him. It's definitely worth it. Just watch out for those sloppy painted ones.
