TOY REVIEW: Shocker (from Spider-Man & Shocker pack)

Another addition to the growing Spider-Man villains in this line, Shocker!

First Impression:

Here's a great chance for collector to own a Shocker figure since the first one released by Hasbro had a limited release in certain countries, making it hard to find. I honestly thought they were just going to re-release that figure when it was announced. That's why I wasn't really looking forward to owning one again. Good thing, it's a new and different figure meaning I get to keep this one.

Where did I acquire it?: Kramer Toy Warden
How much?: SRP of Php 1,499.75
Condition during acquisition: MISB

Packaging:

Accessories:

Sculpt:

+ Sculpted gauntlet! Finally!
Thunder/lightning insignia.
- Would have been better if the lines were sculpted similar to the first released figure.

Paint:

+ Great shades of yellow and brown used.
- Some lines aren't aligned.
- Elbow joint paints on mine are horrible.
- Saw some assortment with sloppy paint apps.

Articulation:
This figure has the new standard Marvel Legends Series body mold, similar with Vance Astro and Vision. Meaning, the articulation from the waist up are a bit lacking.

Comparison:
MLS Shocker, Spiderman line Shocker

MLS 2-pack Shocker, MLS 2-pack Spider-Man
MU Spider-Man, MLS Shocker, MLS Vance Astro

Overall Grade

This figure isn't all that great, however if you missed upon the first released this is one to get. Being a Spider-Man villain added to the value of this figure. Knowing that the first Shocker is hard to get, I wouldn't be surprised if collectors pick this one up. It's an improvement if we are talking about the scale and the gauntlet, though I'd still prefer the first one over this just because of the sculpted details, But that's just me.
