TOY CUSTOM: The Last Of Us - Joel & Ellie

Created the main protagonists of probably one of the best games I've played in a looooonngg time!
Here's The Last Of Us' Joel and Ellie.

        I've taken a break from toy collecting and decided to invest on a console, PS4 to be specific. It gave me the chance to play this game which I've been hearing about for the past 2 years. It's a game that was originally released on the PS3, and was later on Remastered on the PS4. It's an action-adventure survival horror which depicts the likes of Walking Dead in terms of its condition scenario where an outbreak occurred thus turning people into infected/zombies. You also get to be pitted against fellow survivors, in a dog eat dog world. Players control Joel, a man tasked with escorting the young Ellie across a post-apocalyptic United States.

        In short, the game is really awesome that it got me hooked and finished it right away! The gameplay, graphics and the story is definitely one for the books! Really love how Joel and Ellie reacts to one another while trying to survive in their journey.

        Halfway through the game, I started hunting for parts I can use as I really want to create a Joel and Ellie figure in a 4 inch scale. One thing I'm not sure about is how to create Ellie, since she's in her pre-teen years. Fortunately, I did stumble upon a Star Wars Princess Leia figure during one of my toy hunt routine. Really had a hard time making her as it did require a lot of cutting, sanding and sculpting.

        Everything is from Star Wars Princess Leia Boushh disguise. Sanded everything, then added sculpt to add the needed details. It's not exactly accurate, but I love how it turned out, the height is definitely perfect. I just wish It could have gotten more articulation.

        For Joel, I did use a GI Joe Kwinn body, with ROC Storm Shadow legs, and a Steve Rogers head, and everything else was sculpted.

        Really glad to have finished them both and have them on my display. They may not be that accurate, and could have gotten better parts but I'm satisfied on how these turned out. I even placed them on their own packaging and labeled them as Series 1 just for fun! Though I'm planning to do the rest of the characters in this scale so watch out for Series 2, 3 and onwards maybe?  Hehe
