Right after finishing my Penance custom, I had the urge to do more! I recently got these fodder set from an online seller in Facebook for the price equivalent of a single Marvel Universe's SRP. Got these immediately as soon as I saw it, since it was quite a steal for aspiring customizers like me.

NEWS/TOY HAUL: 8th Christmas Toys & Collectibles Fair
It's that time of the year again, where we spread the Christmas cheer by singing loud for all to hear! :3 This is the event that toy collectors look forward to, to wrap up their year of toy hauls! It's the annual Christmas Toys & Collectibles Fair or simply known as X-mas ToyCon, or just ToyCon as we commonly refer to. As I am writing this post, there's about an hour left before this event wraps up. As always, it's being held at Megatrade Hall 1 of SM Megamall. I've always looked forward to this event as I've always been in luck finding some gems for the past 2 X-mas ToyCons, that's why I really did set an appointment for this one.

CUSTOM: Marvel Universe Penance by 'bearako'
It's been quite awhile since I last attempted to customize a figure and boy did I miss doing one. This is officially my 4th custom figure, however it's my first time to fully sculpt a head and an armor so pardon the jagged edges. I enjoyed the whole process in doing this character even though I know I have a lot to learn specially in terms of sculpting. As a starting comic reader, I started reading the Civil War story-arc and Penance had a significant role that initiated the whole gist of the story. I instantly liked the character and chose to do a take on him in the 3 3/4 scale using Dark Spiderman from the 2-pack with Dark Wolverine. Can't wait to do another project!
*Will try to update this post and add more pictures within the week*

REVIEW: Omega Red
Finally! Another figure review after being gone for quite a long time! And what better way to break the ice than to do a review on Marvel Universe last hurrah's chase figure, Omega Red! Yep, you heard that right, it's announced to be the last wave for the line before it rebrands itself for the coming year. Let's do hope that the change in brand doesn't affect the 3 3/4's improvement specially in terms of articulation. So without further ado let's get on with the review.

TOY HAUL: Bonka Zonks
I've been seeing these tiny, bullet-like, stunt toys from Marvel for quite a long time now. Since its release, neither kids nor collectors seemed to give attention to it thus making it an instant peg warmer. At first it didn't really appeal to me since, nothing seems so special about it and looks like it was really aimed for kids. With a retail price of P399.75 it didn't helped its case either. And the name!!! Gawd! It does remind me of slang word from Missy Elliott's Work It. Wondering what's the word? Try googling badonkadonk. For a toy that's aimed at kids, how appropriate.

TOY HAUL: The Dark World Loki
It has been about 3 weeks since the 2nd installment of the Thor movie franchise premiered here locally in the Philippines and I must say I definitely enjoyed the film's Lord of the Rings-ish approach. But it wasn't Thor who made the film memorable. Tom Hiddleston's performance as Loki was hands down priceless! He seems to be destined to play Loki just like RDJ is to Tony Stark. Since playing the part of Loki, he's now been the eye-candy of most ladies despite being the villain to Thor.
