TOY REVIEW: Spider-UK

Of course another year won't pass without another Spider-Man figure, and here we got Spider-UK!

First Impression:

        With the number of Spider-Man versions constantly increasing, I'm finding it hard to keep myself updated on who's who. Apparently, this version is supposed to be William Braddock. Here's a description from the net.

"Former Captain Britain Corps member, originated from Earth-833. After the Captain Britain Corps was seemingly lost and his universe wiped out by an incursion Spider-UK created the multiverse traveling group known as the Web Warriors and is its leader."

         At first glance of this figure during the preview, I wasn't really thrilled since it's obvious that it's just a repaint of the awful Big Time Spider-Man figure. But I'm sure Spidey fans would welcome him anyway.

Sculpt:

 

- Nothing worth mentioning. There's no sculpted parts whatsoever. It's just a completely blank body. SMH.

Paint:

+ Decent Spider insignia on his back.
- Sloppy paint application of the white lining. Mine's misaligned.
- Not a fan of the glossy red paint.
- Unpainted shoulder joints.

Articulation:

It uses the same mold as Big Time Spider-Man, meaning from the waist up it lacks articulation for dynamic poses needed for a Spider-Man.

Overall Grade

        This would probably obviously be the weakest link among the bunch. Figurewise there's nothing worth raving about it, not even the paint application. It's probably a good add, if you have a Spidey collection but other than that I suggest you guys wait for this figure on clearance.
