The 2nd Manila Hobbies & Collectibles Convention was a blast! See more below!
It has been a long time since I've attended a local Toy Convention that really made a mark on me up until now. One reason for this is that our group, MU375PH (Marvel Universe 3.75 Philippines) finally got a chance to display and showcase our collection on the exhibit area of the convention for the first time! We really didn't know what to expect but we're glad we were able to pull this off despite the announcement being short noticed.
I think we did pretty good despite the rushed situation. There were things that we could have done better, but we did learn a lot from this experience. I'm pretty sure we'll be able to step it up during the next convention. What's important is that we were able to take the first step, and put the group's name out there. To our surprise a handful of members did request to join in on the group instantly!
Gianne Garcia - Defenders with Ryerye's custom Jessica Jones
- Avengers, Guardians of the Galaxy, Thanos, Nebula
Kenneth Cruz - custom Superior Foes (including Overdrive as seen here)
Wil Vill - custom Ronan
Wil Vill - Spider-man Universe
Kilo Quiogue (Qwerks) - custom Iron Man Armory
Myself with the display ^_^

You can see our display at 33 sec of Rebel Base's video:
Aside from being able to display, got some awesome hauls during the convention! Red Ramil's booth was a treat for MU collectors as reasonably priced figures, including rare ones, were made available! After 7 years of collecting, finally got the Solid Vision grail! Was also able to complete what I wanted from the SDCC Infinity Gauntlet set with Starfox, Nebula and a recasted Mistress Death!
Really had a great time during the event! Both the experience and the hauls made me feel fulfilled. Can't wait for the next convention and the next display of our group! ^_^
